If your school is interested in reducing its environmental and carbon footprint and becoming a healthier school, this program is for you! The Oklahoma Green Schools Program provides resources and tools to help you assess the current status of your school and take action in any of the following categories:

• Energy
• Water
• Waste & Recycling 
• Environmental Quality
• School Site  

The Oklahoma Green Schools Program offers tips, funding sources and informational resources to help schools identify opportunities to “green” their buildings and operations ranging from the solid waste they generate, to the indoor environment they provide, to the energy and supplies they consume. The program has been divided into three tracks, and schools can participate in any of the tracks, at any time. Click here to see descriptions of each track.

You DO NOT have to be one of the pilot schools to begin greening your school.  Resources for Track One to help with this process are on this site for use by any Oklahoma school.  The pilot schools will help us refine this process so it will be easier for schools to become official participants in the future.
